Privacy Policy
Last updated October 17, 2026
In short: we collect only what we need to match clients with checked workers, we never sell your information, clients never see a worker's ID or clearances, and you can ask us to see, fix or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
GA-WA runs this website and the GA-WA and GA-WA Worker apps. We follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and the rules of the National Privacy Commission. For anything about your information, message us through the Report button in the GA-WA app (our email address will be listed here soon).
This website
This website does not use cookies and does not run ads or tracking. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address and the page you opened) to keep the site running and safe.
If you sign up on the Earn with GA-WA page, we keep your name, mobile number, email (if you give one) and the kinds of jobs you can do. We use them only to contact you about joining GA-WA as a worker. GA-WA's team sees them; we never sell or share them for advertising. We keep a sign-up for up to 12 months, or until you make a GA-WA Worker account, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
If you ask for early access on the Book a job page, we keep your name, mobile number and the kinds of jobs you need help with. We use them only to tell you when you can book with GA-WA. We keep them for up to 12 months, or until you make a GA-WA account, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
What the apps collect
From everyone
- Your name, mobile number and password (stored scrambled, so no one can read it).
- Your location while you use the app, so we can match nearby clients and workers and show the route.
- Jobs you post or take, photos of the job, chat messages, ratings and reports.
From workers, as well
- A clear selfie, used as your profile photo.
- A government ID and your barangay, police and NBI clearances.
- Your skills, proof-of-skill (Patunay) documents, and your GA-WA wallet balance and fees.
- Your location while you are online, so clients can follow you on the way to a job.
Why we use it
- To create your account and confirm your mobile number.
- To check that every worker is who they say they are and has no criminal record before their first job.
- To match clients with nearby workers, show prices, run the chat and track jobs.
- To work out platform fees and keep wallet records.
- To look into reports, keep people safe, and stop fraud or misuse.
- To follow the law and answer lawful requests from the authorities.
Who sees what
- Clients see a matched worker's photo, name and proof-of-skill badges, and their location while they are on the way. Clients never see a worker's ID, clearances or mobile number.
- Workers see what they need to do the job: the client's name, the job details and photos, and the job's location.
- GA-WA's review team sees worker applications (ID, selfie and clearances) to approve or reject them, and sees reports to follow them up. Each team member has their own login.
- Service providers that run GA-WA for us (cloud hosting, database, text messages and map tiles) handle data only to provide their service. Our servers are in Singapore, so your information may be stored outside the Philippines, with the same protections.
We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. After you close it, we delete or anonymize it, except what we must keep longer to follow the law, settle a dispute or look into a report.
How we protect it
Information travels over encrypted connections, passwords are stored scrambled, worker documents are visible only to the review team, and team access is limited by role. No system is perfectly safe, so if a breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you can:
- be told how your information is used (this page);
- see a copy of your information;
- have wrong information corrected;
- object to a use of your information, or have it blocked or deleted;
- get your information in a format you can take elsewhere;
- be paid for damages if your information is misused; and
- complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
To use any of these rights, message us through the Report button in the GA-WA app (our email address will be listed here soon).
Children
Workers must be 18 or older. Clients must be 18 or older, or book with a parent or guardian.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app when the change matters.
